The Impossibility of Motherhood: Feminism, Individualism and the Problem of Mothering by Patrice Diquinzio,
An adequate analysis of experiences motherhood representation and situations specific to women, especially mothering, requires consideration of women's difference. A focus on women's difference, however, jeopardizes feminism's claims of women's equal individualist subjectivity, motherhood representation and risks recuperating the inequality motherhood representation and oppression of women, especially the view that all women should be mothers, want to be mothers, motherhood representation and are most happy being mothers. This book considers how thinkers including Simone de Beauvoir, Julia Kristeva, Nancy Chodorow motherhood representation and Adrienne Rich struggle to negotiate this dilemma of difference in analyzing mothering, encompassing the paradoxes concerning embodiment, gender motherhood representation and representation they encounter. Patrice DiQuinzio shows that mothering has been motherhood representation and will continue to be an intractable problem for feminist theory, argues for a reconceptualization of feminist theory itself, motherhood representation and suggests the political usefulness of an explicitly paradoxical politics of mothering.

Women in African Colonial Histories: An Introduction by Susan Geiger,

Women in African Colonial Histories: An Introduction by Susan Geiger,
How did African women negotiate the complex political, economic, motherhood representation and social forces of colonialism in their daily lives? How did they make meaningful lives for themselves in a world that challenged fundamental notions of work, sexuality, marriage, motherhood, motherhood representation and family? By considering the lives of ordinary African women -- farmers, queen mothers, midwives, urban dwellers, migrants, motherhood representation and political leaders -- in the context of particular colonial conditions at specific places motherhood representation and times, Women in African Colonial Histories challenges the notion of a homogeneous "African women's experience." While recognizing the inherent violence motherhood representation and brutality of the colonial encounter, the essays in this lively volume show that African women were not simply the hapless victims of European political rule. Innovative use of primary sources, including life histories, oral narratives, court cases, newspapers, colonial archives, motherhood representation and physical evidence, attests that African women's experiences defy static representation. Readers at all levels will find this an important contribution to ongoing debates in African women's history motherhood representation and African colonial history.

Highest weight representation and lowest weight representation - In representation theory, the space of all possible weights is a vector space. Let's fix a total ordering of this vector space such that a nonnegative linear combination of positive vectors with at least one nonzero coefficient is another positive vector.

Symplectic representation - In mathematics and theoretical physics, a pseudoreal representation is a group representation that is equivalent to its complex conjugate, but that is not a real representation. That is, it satisfies the obvious necessary condition to be equivalent to a representation by means of real matrices; but is not actually equivalent to such a representation.

Monomial representation - In mathematics, a linear representation ρ of a group G is a monomial representation if there is a subgroup H and a one-dimensional linear representation σ of H, such that ρ is equivalent to the induced representation

Antifundamental representation - In mathematics, an antifundamental representation is the complex conjugate of the fundamental representation, although the distinction between the fundamental and the antifundamental representation is a matter of convention. However, these two are often non-equivalent, because each of them is a complex representation.
